Q1) Who is eligible to enrol as Ordinary Member of the Institute?
Membership is open only to the employees of recognized banking establishments both in the nationalized as well as private sector including the Reserve Bank of India, State Bank of India, other Financial Institutions, both Central and State, Co-operative Banks and any other institutions in India who are Institutional Members of the Institute. The List of Institutional Members whose employees are eligible to enrol as ordinary member is available on the dropdown under BANK/INSTITUTION WORKING WITH in the Membership Application registration form.
Q2) If my employer is not in the list hence not Eligible for Ordinary Membership, am I eligible to write the Examinations of the Institute?
Yes. For most of our examinations you can register as a Non-member, pl see eligibility criteria for each examination, refer Rules/Syllabus. Pl note that JAIIB/CAIIB and few other examinations are open only to Members.
Q3) Not able to access the web site www.iibf.org.in or not able to access the 'ordinary member registration' page.
Accessing website/enrolment page is based on various factors like Internet Speed, number of user trying to access at the same time etc. in such case try after a gap of 15-20 minutes or during off-peak hours or during night.
O4) What payment option is available for making payment.
Credit Card/Debit Card - Master/Visa or Internet Banking
Q5) Any services fees payable by the applicant.
No. Since this is for membership of the Institute as of now there is no service fees payable. If applicable the same will be communicated. Presently life Time Membership Fee payable is INR Rs.1725/- (Fees Rs.1500/- + Service Tax@15% Rs.225/- = Rs.1725/-).
Q6) Internet connection failed before submission of payment transaction details.
In case the connection failed before submission of payment transaction details the application is rejected and the applicant has to follow the online registration process again.
Q7) Internet connection failed after submission of payment transaction details and your bank has debited the fees to your account. (Did not received enrolment confirmation).
For all such transactions, Institute will refund the fees within seven working days from the date of the transaction. And the applicant has to follow the online registration process again.
Q8) PC hanged/Shutdown/Internet gets disconnected in the middle of transaction .
- In case the failure is before submission of payment transaction details, the application is rejected and the applicant has to follow the online registration process again
- In case the failure is after submission of payment transaction details and the amount is debited to applicants Account, Institute will refund the fees within 10-12 working days from the date of the transaction and theapplicant has to follow the online registration process again
Note: For all rejected application/transaction the applicant has to apply afresh
Q9) Not received any email/SMS confirmation/I do not know the status of my application.
After successful registration an email will be sent by auto response system. Delivery of these emails depends on correctness of email id provided, policy of mail service provided or in some cases email policy of the institution/bank (where you are working) which control the delivery of the email. In such cases please refer SMS confirmation.
If both the confirmation (email/sms) not received within 2/3 working days after successful registration, kindly write to email@example.com providing following details:
- Membership Number 2) Full Name 3) Date of Birth 4) Payment transaction details 5) Mobile no. and details problem/exact text of error message etc..
Q10) Change or correct my profile information.
On successful registration a confirmation will be sent intimating the Membership number, (Membership number is your login id) Password etc via e-mail. Using these credential a member can change his/her profile information except for Name, Date of Birth, Photo, Signature and ID proof, for changing these, member should contact the Institute’s Office.
Q11) Not able to login using login credential/ not able to View/Edit Profile
Kindly write to firstname.lastname@example.org providing following details: 1)Membership number 2) Full Name 3) Date of Birth 4) Payment transactions details 5)Mobile no and details of the problem, exact text of error message etc.
Q12) Payment has been debited to my account but my application is not registered.
For all such transaction institute will refund the fees within 10-12 working days from the date of transaction.
The applicant has to follow the online registration process again
Note: For all rejected application the applicant has to apply afresh.
Q13) When will I be eligible for examination?
The candidates who have enrolled as member of the Institute are eligible for Institute's examination. Please refer related Examination Rules & Syllabus for more details.
Q14) I have already registered earlier as member but I don't remember the membership number. Shall I register for membership again?
No. Candidates who have already registered and do not remember membership number may contact respective Zonal office and get their membership number. Dual membership is not allowed
Q15) When I will get my membership Id Card?
Members will get ID card within 45 days from the date of registration
